1000mm f/5.74 Paraboloid Primary, Spherical Secondary Cassegrain
« on: December 29, 2017, 03:03:46 AM »
Interesting 1 meter Cassegrain solution that has a paraboloid primary, spherical secondary like a Dall-Kirkham, and 3-element corrector that provides very nearly DL performance over 0.4-0.9µm spectrum and 50mm diameter FOV, with <5µm image distortion at 25mm off axis. It used all 10 surfaces in OSLO-EDU, so I had to put the central obstruction on the primary even though it's actually at the rear of the secondary baffle. Doesn't make any real difference in the off-axis performance.
