I pointed my Z12 at 81/82 Sat night after not seeing them for months. Breathtaking. Had periods of very steady seeing and good transparency. Both were quite extended.

Not knowing what your skies are like...were you able to glimpse NGC 3077, the unheralded little brother of 81/82?

Nice and dark. 3077 is visible in the 8x50 finder. Found in main EP first and then noticed at the crosshairs of the finder as a tiny, non-stellar something.

You guys aren't helping my patience, lol. Tracking says Wednesday, which before I ordered was scheduled for good weather per the extended forecast. Naturally it was the arrival date that made it change.

The eyepieces came from Astronomics today, so at least there's new optics which, even though they are useless at the moment, is always a plus. There's something about new optics ...
