Title: How come these dark site maps look soooo different (darksitefinder vs lightpollu
Post by: guizietropid on December 24, 2017, 03:52:10 PM
Hi community,

In search for dark sites, I discovered these two shadowy site map internet pages:

http://darksitefinde...maps/world.html (http://darksitefinder.com/maps/world.html)
http://www.lightpoll...&layers=0BTFFFF (http://www.lightpollutionmap.info/#zoom=18&lat=4062354&lon=-13055450&layers=0BTFFFF)

When you have a look at the two maps, you'll observe that they seem very different from each other for any specific area.  If you hunt for Palos Verde, CA, for example, you'll observe that lightpollutionmap is much more fine grained than darksitefinder.  This begs the question: How come these avenues are so different from one another?
