My new Celestron edge he 800 just arrived
« on: December 30, 2017, 05:12:14 PM »
Hi guys to say I'm excited would be putting it mildly! I was just greeted with three massive boxes as my Celestron cpc 800 edge HD has arrived so I've set it up and alls good. I wanted the Celestron power pack but were out so I got the Skywatcher version and boy it's heavy, but what shocked me most was the size off it! It's huge and a lot bigger then I thought. It's also a lot heavy then I thought It was going to be. I also got a Orion edge on planetary 1.25" 12.5mm a Skywatcher saw-70 2" 8mm a Skywatcher saw 70 2" 22mm and the 40mm that came with the scope. The sky's are clear and the milky way is calling clear sky's too all...Attached Thumbnails

Okay, what I want to know is HOW DID YOU GET A TELESCOPE AND THE SKIES ARE STILL CLEAR??????

Does the 'curse' of bad weather with new gear not work in Aussieland?

In the southern hemisphere everything is reversed. When you buy astronomy gear, the sky clears up.

Well, they say everything is better in Oz, maybe it's the one place this doesn't occur.

Anyway, Colt, enjoy your new scope, it's a beaut and I'm sure you'll really enjoy it.
