We are going to travel from Norway to Chile to visit family.  I'm interested in an observatory there.  Would anyone have experience with visiting an observatory?  Are they available for public?  Do anyone have som tips about a family friendly observatory at Atacama or elsewhere at the northern area of Chile?  We've got two sons and they will be in the age of nine and twelve years once we go there in February 2019.

To get a hint about astronomy I've bought a Skywatcher 114P newtonian.  We use it to see the moon and jupiter and stuff like this.  Off course we'd like to se planets at a whole lot higher resolution but there would also be wonderful to view the sun in H-alpha and som deep skies objekts like nebulas or galaxies.

If anyone have some experience they would like to cheer I'll be very pleased.
