I'm not being negative, nor am I getting into my home situation on the web, but I haven't been able to go away on a trip anywhere since 2008 due to none of your business at home. I would LOVE to get away for a day for something like this, but it is not going to happen. That's all I'll say about it. Not everyone can do it, so if it is on the web, it's all I'll see of it in totality. Why complain about it being live streamed? Let me ask you this. You travel to where you can see it because your situation allows for that, it and it rains all day, are you gonna watch it live streamed or skip it all together?

I'm one that will skip it if I'm clouded out. watching it on a phone just ain't gonna be the same.
I've heard mixed reviews about observing from plane.

Turn down the sound before watching:

I'd also like to add, those of you taking pics, post them up!

Steve,
If the weather cooperates I hope to be streaming white light on a Revolution Imager and Ha on a quark with an ATIK infinity. Ping me closer to the event and I'll give you the info for the streams.

How much trouble it is to get into the path of totality is a personal judgement call. The Sun has been so darned quiet it will be interesting to see what the corona looks like.

Someone who hasn't seen a total solar eclipse doesn't know how to make that judgement and must let other factors, some compelling and others not, decide for him.

Yeah that pushed my choice of Quark Ha's to the Original Prom model.
