I find them at best to be amusing.

My "Silver Bullet" (The Lone Ranger) is better light pollution filtering.

People, places, and the paranoid, won't shut off their lights.
But if I crank in my HA7nm filter, they can kiss my telescope.

The first image is the lighpollutionmap.info, the second is of The New World Atlas of Artificial Night Sky Brightness and the last is the combined image I made under Google Earth for South-West England :

I have a question or questions.

If i live in let's say the red zone, what is the possibilities that i can imaging something of DSO? say i am in red zone that is very very nearby the the light gray/white zone, or let's say it is almost as light or bright gray zone and not red zone if that dark finder maps aren't accurate.

What will be the possibilities then if i drive to almost orange zone or even yellow zone at most? the area of country isn't huge, and the zones aren't so far apart, i mean the light pollution can be seen by miles even we move to one zone to another, will that make the visual or imaging better a bit or it is still bad until you move to something like green and blue at least if dark sky of black?
