10micron GM1000 for mobile use ?
« on: December 27, 2017, 09:27:16 PM »
Good morning fellow astronomers,

I am currently in the process of getting my new APO for AP and I was looking to my next investment opportunity  I do own an AZ-EQ6 at the moment and I am quite happy with the mount. None the less I have an eye on a 10micron GM1000 as a birthday / christmas or whatever reason I can find present
Does anyone of you use that mount for an entirely mobile setup and how do you cope with that ? How long does it take to build a star model to quit using an autoguider ? Are there any glitches with it being used as a mobile base ?
Any feedback is highly appreciated.

Best Regards from Germany
